Terms of Service

1. About these terms
Tavle is operated by [Company legal name] ("we", "us"). These terms form an agreement between us and the person or organisation using the service ("you"). By creating an account or using Tavle you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.
2. Accounts
You need an account to use Tavle. Sign-in links are personal to you: keep them confidential, do not share them, and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has gained access to your account. You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for the accuracy of the details you give us.
An account may belong to a company workspace. Whoever administers that workspace can add and remove members and control access to the data in it.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service unlawfully, or in breach of anyone else's rights;
- upload or connect content you do not have the rights to use;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, other accounts or the systems it runs on;
- interfere with or place an unreasonable load on the service, or attempt to circumvent its limits;
- copy, reverse engineer or resell the service, except where the law says you may.
4. Your data
You keep all rights in the data you bring to Tavle and in the content you create with it. You grant us the licence we need to host, process and display that data for the purpose of providing the service to you, and for no other purpose. You confirm that you have the rights necessary to make that data available to us.
Where we process personal data on your behalf, we do so as described in our Privacy Policy and under a written data processing agreement.
5. Connected systems
Tavle reads data from third-party systems that you choose to connect. Those systems are operated by their providers under their own terms, and we do not control them. You are responsible for having the right to connect them and for the credentials you supply. A provider may change or withdraw its interface at any time, which can affect what Tavle is able to show.
6. Plans, fees and billing
Paid plans are billed in advance for the billing period shown at the time of purchase, and renew automatically for further periods until cancelled. Fees are stated exclusive of VAT and other applicable taxes unless we say otherwise. We will give reasonable advance notice before changing the price of a plan you are on. Unless the law provides otherwise, fees already paid are not refundable.
7. Availability and support
We work to keep Tavle available and to fix faults promptly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation unless we have separately agreed a service level with you in writing. We may carry out maintenance, and we may change or discontinue features. Where a change materially reduces the functionality of a plan you pay for, we will tell you in advance.
8. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Tavle and cancel your plan at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms, if payment is overdue, or if your use puts the service or other customers at risk. Where circumstances allow, we will warn you first and give you an opportunity to put things right.
After the agreement ends you can ask us to export your data for a reasonable period before it is deleted, as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Intellectual property
The service, its software, design and trade marks belong to us or our licensors. Nothing in these terms transfers any of that to you beyond the right to use the service while this agreement is in force. Feedback you send us may be used to improve the service without obligation to you.
10. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and we make no warranties other than those stated in these terms. In particular, Tavle presents data drawn from systems we do not control, and we do not warrant that the figures it displays are complete, current or fit for any decision you take on the basis of them.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of revenue or loss of data, and our total liability arising out of this agreement is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the period preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service develops or as the law requires. We will post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date, and we will notify you in advance of changes that materially affect your rights. Continuing to use Tavle after a change takes effect means you accept it.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of [governing law jurisdiction], and disputes arising out of them are subject to the courts of [venue], without affecting any mandatory rights you have as a consumer under the law of the place where you live.
